Slow Progress for Testing NE CT Community Wells!

According to the DEEP's April 7 presentation to the Killingly Town Council, rollout for testing wells in our area in Northeastern CT will take months to years. The current program only allows for testing every 500 feet from each positive well test.

Round 1 homes were offered testing in July/Aug 2025.

Round 2 homes were offered testing in Sept/Oct 2025.

Round 3 homes were offered testing in Nov/April 2026.

Here are the maps from the DEEP's April 7 presentation to the Killingly Town Council outlining round 4 testing, to occur over the next 6mo (i.e. April/May - Sept/Oct):

However, we already know that the community at Zadora Heights down Maple St is positive for PFOA based on the DPH/UConn testing program.

Please spread the word, as people in our community are still drinking the contaminated water without knowing it!
